I HAVE MET A VERY NICE LOT OF PEOPLE ON THIS FORUM AND MADE SOME FRIENDS, I DONT WANT TO SAY THIS THE WRONG WAY I AM TRYING TO PUT IT THE RIGHT WAY BUT I HAVE RECEIVED AN EMAIL BY A MEMBER MOST OF YOU KNOW THE TROUBLE WE HAVE GONE THROUGH WITH DANIEL BUT I HAVE HAD AN EMAIL ABOUT DANIELS DIAGNOSES WHEN HE WAS LITTLE AND THE EMAIL SAY BASICALLY WE DID NOT GET TOLD BECAUSE IT WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN THERE AT BIRTH AND THAT SOME ONE WILL HAVE MADE IT UP OVER THE YEARS BECAUSE OF HOW HE IS , WHEN I HAVE STATED IT WAS IN THE MEDICAL RECORDS FROM BIRTH AND THEY SAID THAT HE WOULD NOT HAVE GOT OFFERED HELP BECAUSE OF THIS WELL HOW COME AS SOON AS SCHOOL FOUND OUT HE GOT EXTRA SUPPORT STRAIGHT AWAY, I FEEL LIKE SHE THINKS I AM GOING OVER BOARD, AND I SHOULD DO NOTHING ABOUT IT, I LOVE MY CHILDREN AND I WILL DO ANYTHING, I REALLY DONT KNOW HOW TO TAKE IT I FEEL QUITE HURT BY THE EMAIL.I AM WONDERING WEATHER I SHOULD NOT RENEW MY MEMBERSHIP IN END FEB.

I'm so sorry to hear you have had such treatment Tina.
You are doing absolutely right to fight for Daniel and you know the writer of the e-mail is wrong.
PLEASE do not leave the forum, the majority of us want to support you as much as we can.

Hi Tina, I don't think you should not renew on account of this e-mail you've received. There are so many wonderful reasons to stay both on the forum and with NRAS! Perhaps the person who wrote to you misunderstood or reached incorrect conclusions and has expressed themselves, meaning well. Perhaps you could reply to the e-mail directly and express your hurt and explain the offence it has caused. I'm sure no-one on this forum would intentionally go out to offend and I'm sure this person would be grateful of the opportunity to right a wrong. Hope you'll change your mind  Joanna

Hi Tina,
I agree, you should not leave because of this we are here to support you in what ever way we can. You are a fantastic Mum doing all you can for Daniel, and no-one can take this away from you.

Dear Tina,
I am horrified that any member of this forum could ever have e mailed you in such a way as to upset you. Can I please ask you to contact NRAS and identify the person and to have the e mail looked at objectively. It would be sad if someone is contacting members in this way rather than being upfront and open on particular threads on the forum. I hope that it turns out to be a simple error of judgement.
Please renew your membership as I would miss you so much, as well as miss hearing all about Daniel and the rest of the family.
Please do not give the opinion of one person any credence but go by your own knowledge of what you know based on the evidence that you have in front of you ie medical records.
Did you get an appointment with CAB?

Hi Tina, I can only repeat what ev eryone has said. How sad for you and your family to have to read e mails like this, please dont let it stop you from renewing membership, we would miss you lots!!!! You carry one being a wonderful mum to your sons, and Daniel will always know you have fought for him, no matter what anyone says x  BARBARA

you came on here for help and support for your son and your-self
the person my have said sorry but things should not of been said in the first place
that person should be ashamed of them-selves
Tina the forum was set up for people and there families who suffer from RA where you can get the help and support you need it is not a place to score points
I think you would be silly to leave because of one person

of course you love your children.
I dont know anything about the ins and outs of things, and I hope Im not being overly simple and riding over anyones sensitivity but dont feel any pressure to leave or otherwise by a person writing something personal like that.
NRAS offers support to RAers and their families in such a positive way- I would hate for anyone to feel the had to leave.

Sorry you have been upset by this email Tina. I'm hoping it's more a case of the written word not saying what the writer wanted to say and that it just came over wrongly. I do hope that that's it's settled between you now and that you can accept the apology. YES I'VE CHANGED, PAIN DOES THAT TO PEOPLE.
